Welcome to Little Terreille
New Board Edition

WE'VE MOVED!
* dance party *

Thank you, everyone, for sticking with us through our Soft Open phase!

After some trial and errors (lots of server errors...), we made the switch to Jcink. Since the board is so new, we felt moving now would be a better option for us.

THE BLOOD REALMS ~ LITTLE TERREILLE

We hope you enjoy Little Terreille's new home!

Zerek made a few notes on his pad of paper while listening to Nathan rattle off a few quick things that just sounded like tedious paperwork to him and nodded. "Okay. If you got that, I will need a list of optional entertainment for me to vet. Once invitations are sent out I will have to up the level of security on the off chance of problems. I don't expect any but you and I both know that even a small possibility is deadly." He tapped his notepad for a moment and flipped a few pages before returning. "I had the idea of having it outdoors than indoors. The weather is turning more into the summer and our Queen does love the gardens. We could have it there or go for a more rustic feel among the tall tree's. What do you think? The forest idea may be a bitch to secure but also gives Aria's court something to talk about."

It took effort not to shove him off the couch for the shift in the conversation. Rumors are rumors and information a weapon as much as a tool, now knowing meant that she did have to hold some responsibility if things failed to be seen through. It just was not her problem today. It was tomorrow's problem. Or next months problem. There were other Queen's who held more Territorial responsibility than her. Not that she liked saving the day, quite the opposite, but there was a joy to shame those that failed.

Thoughts she clearly kept to herself.

"Starting to feel more than just some wine, I see?" She leaned over and kissed him softly on the lips. He tasted like his wine and food. "Did you even leave me any wine?"

Final Chance Weyr

Home - History - Dragons - Whers - Availability - Advertise

At the start of a long Interval, a virulent disease breaks out among dragonkin. While three of every four infected whers eventually recover, the disease is fatal for dragons and flits without exception. Highly contagious through breath, and able to be transferred among dragonkin by humans too, quarantine is entirely ineffective. It soon becomes clear that dragons will imminently go extinct, and a radical plan is devised to avert this. Three gravid queens will go forward in time, laying there eggs in a time when, it is assumed, the disease will have died out.

As the long Interval draws to a close, a patrol of whers hears a desperate cry for help from three queen dragons - but dragons have been believed extinct for almost 400 Turns. The whers and their handlers arrive to three clutches worth of dragon eggs, but the mother golds are gone, for if they stayed they would surely infect their offspring with the fatal disease. The handlers quickly erect a Weyr around the eggs, scrambling to assemble substantial candidates, and remain to usher in and guide the new generation of dragons.

Now the dragons have hatched, but while some are healthy, there are many abnormalities among them - strange colours, deformities, peculiar congenital illnesses - will these dragons be able to fight Thread, expected in just six Turns’ time? And will Pern accept them?? Across the continent, at Fort Hold, purists smart at the thought of dragons under wher control; what will this discord mean for Pern?

Features
* Follow the revival of the dragon population from scratch
* Five non-canon dragon ranks with more potentially to come
* All female dragonkin able to clutch
* A strong emphasis on wher handlers
* Several high-ranking positions available
* Recent reveal of playable wild whers
* Ranking & clutching positions available in the White Shell Pack
* Site-wide, summer-long plot kicking off in July

K
eeping his expression neutral, and his thoughts carefully guarded, Nathan watched Zerek "sit" on one of the chairs. "Unsophisticated" was a word that came to mind, but Nathan said nothing, as usual. He had seen a young Eyrien Warlord Prince with more class than the Master of Ostrava possessed. Which was saying something, as Eyriens, in general, were a savage race.

Nathan listened carefully to Zerek's report, and was not surprised by the ultimate lack of preparations that had actually been done. Just more requests, and more work for Nathan. Typical. At least Nathan would be the one in charge of planning. It suited him to manage the arrival of a powerful and influential Queen, even if she wasn't a ruling one.

"Of course I can handle it," Nathan replied in a calm dismissive tone, picking up his pen to make a few notes on a spare bit of parchment. The simple affairs that Zerek referred to as a "banquet" and "dance" were trivial compared to the grand galas Nathan had had to arrange during his time as a Steward for Hayll's aristos. Nathan could arrange an event here in Ostrava without taking any time out of his more pressing duties. As long as the Queen was pleased, and the coffers were still full, any event Nathan planned would be considered a success.

"I will send the guest lists, seating charts, and more personal decisions on details to Lady Garrick by tomorrow afternoon," Nathan informed Zerek without looking at him. "When scheduling has been finalized, I will send you a copy, so that you can arrange the guards appropriately."

Setting down his pen again, Nathan once more sat casually back in his chair. "Are there any other matters that need my attention, Prince Tedorick?"

"Good, you received my note." Zerek pulled out a chair, flipped it around, and straddled it as he sat down. Flipping his own notebook open against the head of the chair, he flipped through a few pages before he found the one that he needed.

"We have two weeks and a bit to set up a banquet or dance. I'm fairly certain Aria will want us all dressed up and able to host both. Which gives you a little more extra work. I am sure you will find room in the budget to bring on a little extra help to see that it is done on time." He made a mark in his list labeled 'tell Nathan the bad news'. He knew Nathan loved parties, though at times he couldn't read the man enough to know what he actually liked. "Not that I doubt you can't handle it."

And there were days he did not mind being an asshole.

N
octurnus could not resist the temptation of the city. Watching humans was, after all, his favorite hobby.

So, when there was a need for him to check on a kindred witch, and her new litter of Blood kittens, Nocturnus took the opportunity to do a little sight-seeing. He sight-shielded his Green jeweled collar, and made his way along the busy streets. Majority of the humans ignored him. Those who took notice would hiss at him to get out of the way. He easily dodged around them to find a safe place to monitor the human-world's comings and goings.

Nocturnus finally found a nice spot currently being occupied by a human male. The cat quietly observed the male a moment or two, noting caste and rank, and a little of his mood. It seemed the human was also enjoying simply sitting and watching. Perhaps Nocturnus had found a good companion to pass the time with.

The large black feline meandered over to within a couple feet of the human male, and sat beside him without invitation, not that a cat needed one. Nocturnus gave the human a lazy stare, as if to say, You enjoy watching humans, too?
